Mary’s Gluten Free Baked Beans

This is my mother’s recipe for gluten free baked beans. They’re easy to make and go great with everything from a holiday ham dinner to a spring picnic! What you’ll need:

4 slices GF bacon (chopped) (optional)

1 small onion (diced)

1 green pepper (chopped)

1cup fresh pineapple chopped or 1 19 oz can of pineapple tidbits

2 14 oz cans of gluten free brown beans (We use Heinz Deep Browned Beans in Tomato Sauce)

2 tablespoons gluten free Worcestershire sauce (We use Heinz London Recipe)

1/2 cup brown sugar

3/4 cup ketchup

What you’ll do:

Heat oven to 350°.

If using, fry bacon until crisp. Drain grease.

Fry onion and green pepper until lightly browned.

Stir in remaining ingredients.

Pour into a greased casserole and bake for 45 minutes.

TIP: You can also cook these in the crock pot on high for three to four hours.
